GB1RB - Robert Burns - 2008

GB1RB (Burns Day 2008)

Robert Burns (January 25, 1759 – July 21, 1796)

GB1RB is run by members of Kilmarnock and Loudoun Amateur Radio Club to commemorate the life and times of the famous poet Robert Burns.

Robert Burns was a poet and song writer. He is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland, and is probably the best-known of the poets who have written in Scots. He also wrote in English which makes much of his work more accessible to a wider audience than native Scots speakers.
