CASHOTA has been developed to promote CAstles and Stately Homes On The Air all over Britain and Ireland through running amateur radio stations.  Amateur radio stations are set up on or around the grounds of castles, forts and stately homes. The website tries to give people a summarised history of these ancient buildings and promotes websites relating to historic buildings.
Kilmarnock and Loudoun Amateur Radio Club members actively participate in this awards programme.  They have activated many of the castles within Ayrshire.  Our current club chairman Arthur MM0DHQ  is CASHOTA co-ordinator for Scotland and also CASHOTA chairman.
